Have A Classic Movie Night

As much as we all love a Mean Girls night, wouldn’t it be fun to mix it up? A Smart Girl appreciates the film classics: old and new. Older movies take you back into another time and are the perfect way to add some extra fun into your weekend. Grab the popcorn and Moose Tracks, and enjoy a classic movie!

Some Like It Hot (1959)

Disguising themselves as women, two men are forced to step into the shoes of women- literally- and join an all women’s band to get out of town. Soon they find themselves lost in crazy antics and costume changes but how long can they keep up the act? Starring the iconic Marilyn Monroe, this movie is the perfect timeless comedy.

WHY SEE IT? The setting is really cool and it is so hilarious all the years later. Plus the black & white film is truly classic.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)

A very clever and sneaky high school senior decides to take the day off from school. After recruiting his friends, he sets out on an adventure, but faces a serious question: will he ever get caught? This movie is sure to be a hit with you and your friends.

WHY SEE IT? It’s an 80s John Hughes classic. There are also some great Pinterest-worthy quotes, too.

Clueless (1995)

A fashionable and popular girl faces the challenges of high school with her sometimes ditzy, but always charismatic attitude. Cher, played by Alicia Silverstone, must discover who is really there for her in this hit and face the truth.  A 90s must-see, this is the perfect pick for a sleepover or girl’s night.

WHY SEE IT? You’ll love the 90s throwback and plaid. You’ll also laugh about every two minutes.

These three are only a few of my favorites. All the classics are worth seeing- that’s why they’re called classics! Did I miss one of your favorites? Comment below!
